Chocolate Banana Nice Cream
Enjoy the steps!
Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas, peeled & frozen
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened peanut butter
- 1/4 cup dairy-free milk (almond, or cashew works the best). Optional Toppings: chocolate chips, nuts, raspberries
- Optional: 1-2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup
Directions
- Put frozen bananas, cocoa powder, peanut butter, and milk into the food processor. Pulse until the bananas are broken down.
- Scrape the sides of the food processor and continue processing until the nice cream looks smooth and creamy.
- Add toppings and serve right away! You can also freeze it for a couple of hours to get the right consistency for the nice cream to be scooped into mugs or cones.
Tips:
- I have used dairy-free milk for the vegan version. You can use regular milk as well.
- You might need to add a little more milk than suggested as it depends on the frozenness of the bananas.
- While pulsing, hold on tight to the food processor. It’ll shake and rattle a bit until the frozen bananas break down. Don’t worry, it all be worth it!
